How Can I Know Jesus?

Dear Friend,

Several of your Global Gates missionaries and Pathways Texas interns recently returned from a multi-week mission trip to South Asia and the Middle East, where they saw God do more than they asked or imagined.

*Sarah, a young missionary, had a recurring vision of a woman crying by a body of water throughout the trip, but she didn’t know what it was about until an encounter in a city on the Arabian Peninsula. One day, she was walking by the water when she turned and saw a woman crying near some bushes. Sarah knew she was in pain, and was led by the Holy Spirit to go to her. This was the vision God had given her!

*Fatima was desperate for hope. Sarah and *Rachel, another Global Gates worker, shared the gospel with Fatima. Fatima had begun wondering about Jesus Christ two years earlier, and Jesus met her through these faithful women. Fatima asked them, “How can I know Jesus?” They told Fatima that Jesus was God’s gift for her, and she did not hesitate to accept.

This was among many highlights throughout the trip as your Global Gates missionaries and Pathways Texas interns shared the good news with 657 people from unreached people groups. 280 of whom professed faith in Christ, while 32 followed Jesus in baptism. They observed the practices of movement leaders, and saw how believers from different cultures worship. Women, including immigrant workers, were encouraged, cared for, and trained in evangelism and apologetics by female Global Gates missionaries. There was even a Bengali baptism of three new brothers who obeyed Jesus in a hotel in the Middle East. Celebrations met these believers from Bangladesh as they emerged from the water.

Your Global Gates missionaries and Pathways Texas interns saw Christ’s saving and redemptive power on display in amazing ways. This would not have been possible without the prayers and generous financial support of our ministry partners. Thank you, dear friend, for helping us take the gospel to the ends of the earth. God bless you.

Grateful for you,

David Garrison, Executive Director, Global Gates
