Mission Description Summary
A Global Gates Missions Catalyst’s primary task is to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to reach a particular unreached people group, or affinity of unreached people groups, with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Missions Catalyst builds an ecosystem of prayer, ministry, evangelism, discipleship, church multiplication, and leadership development that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, births a multiplication of disciples and churches throughout the prioritized people group and beyond.

Unreached People Group Information
Concentrated Area: Cary, NC
Population Estimate in the Triangle of NC: 5,000
Primary Religion: Islam (Sunni)
Primary Languages: Derija (Moroccan Arabic)
Why is This Position Needed?
Moroccan Arabs are one of the most unreached people on the planet! Joshua Project has named them a Frontier People Group with 0.09% reached with the gospel globally. There are no churches made up of Moroccan believers from a Muslim background. Some media work is underway in Morocco and there is much potential for networked partnerships.
Most of the Moroccan families in the area live in Cary, Apex and some parts of Raleigh. The highest concentration, though, is in Cary. There is one area, in particular, called “Little Morocco” where many gather. Work among Moroccans here could reverberate to other cities like DC and Chicago, as well as Casablanca and Rabat, Morocco. In these places, a growing network exists among Moroccan believers who are dedicated to the work of reaching Moroccans globally through media.
- Submit short monthly reports to a coach or supervisor.
- Submit an annual report to Global Gates leadership.
- Meet or video conference with the assigned Global Gates coach once a month to evaluate and strengthen the work.
Global Gates offers customized training for our missionaries called Gateways as well as providing coaching through the entire process. Depending on the missionary’s prior experience, Gateways could involve building skills in language learning, ethnographic research, mobilizing and training partners, spiritual formation, evangelism and discipleship, church planting methodology and leadership. To become an effective Missions Catalyst, the missionary candidate may need to develop particular skills first. Global Gates offers a one-week Missions Catalyst training and ongoing coaching to assist missionaries in their task.
