Through this unique experience, you’ll get trained in Nashville, then serve as an intern in the D.C. area. You’ll get to engage unreached people groups through intentional outreach, relationship-building, and hands-on mission experience in one of the most diverse cities in the world.

  • You a graduating high school or college student seeking clarity about where God is leading you to engage missionally.
  • You are a young adult interested in engaging unreached people groups alongside effective missionaries and trainers.
  • You are between the ages of 17-27 and are ready for God to use you to see the Gospel taken to the ends of the earth through Global Gateway Cities.

Where does the Gap Year happen?

  • Semester One (January 2027 – May 2027) will be in Nashville, TN with our partners at Next Wave Missions.
  • – One week in Athens, Greece
  • Semester Two (Summer of 2027) will in Northern Virginia / Washington DC with our Global Gates missionaries. 
  • – At least one week traveling with our missionaries to a second North American City.

What is the cost and what does it include?

  • Students will be responsible for $18,875 of the Global Gates Gap Year costs. Scholarships may be available. Please ask!
  • The following will be included in the costs:
    – Housing, flights required for semester one travel, insurance and training.
