Global Gates COVID-19 Update
Dear Ministry Partner,
As we enter this season of the coronavirus pandemic, please know that you are in our prayers, and we are grateful for your prayers for us.
Our Global Gates missionaries working in 24 cities across North America and around the world are prayerfully responding to this crisis as many of you are. We are avoiding gatherings and maintaining social distance in an effort to prevent spreading the disease. Organizationally, we have already shifted our May board meeting to a teleconference format rather than trying to meet, as we normally do, in New York City. And personally, I have had two international trips and two US-based trips canceled due to the coronavirus.
Global Gates missionaries are also utilizing social media to interact with their people groups. As millions of Americans, including the diaspora immigrant communities, remain indoors, they are looking to Facebook and other social media platforms to stay connected and obtain helpful information. Global Gates missionaries are ahead of the curve on these people-group-specific sites offering a message of hope in Jesus Christ.
We recognize that God sometimes uses a renewed awareness of our own mortality to awaken us to the need for eternal security with Him. Please join us as we prayerfully and sensitively engage our people groups with their need for an eternal hope that can only be provided by a relationship with God that is anchored in Jesus Christ.
Grateful for you,
David Garrison
