Why are Workers Needed?
Despite the high population, there are few Iranian believers. Many, having experienced the 1979 revolution (and/or its aftermath) have lived under the oppression of “religion” as well as abject governmental scrutiny. Christians are needed to show Christ’s love and the gospel to a sometimes suspicious people.

Lord, please break down walls of skepticism and suspicion with regard to Your gospel. Please soften their hearts to You.
Lord, please grant many influential Iranians in the D.C. area dreams and visions about You. Open the eyes of these dear people who have been blinded by the enemy (2 Corinthians 4:4).
Lord, please give boldness and love to local believers to share Your gospel with their Iranian friends.
Lord, please send workers to engage the Iranians in the D.C. area. Burden the hearts of Your people with what burdens Your heart.
