Why are Workers Needed?
The Bay Area is extremely attractive to Muslim urban professionals (“Muslim yuppies,” or, “muppies”). Most long for fuller spiritual lives, but few have really heard the message of the Gospel. Reaching them means reaching people who bridge cultural divides, which could spill into some of the least reached areas of the world. It will require us to learn to engage and share the Gospel with people with very few material needs.

Lord, raise up professionals who are excited, willing, and ready to reach out to the Muslims working near them.
Lord, give workers the words to communicate the importance of the Gospel that goes far beyond physical needs. Help them to learn to minister to these self-sufficient people by Your Spirit. You say it is difficult for the rich to enter the Kingdom. Show th
Lead workers to find new and effective ways to engage these people. Show them the plentiful harvest, starting with a few Muppies who are excited to believe in Jesus and grow in faith.
