Personnel Selection / Recruitment Director

Purpose:

The Personnel Selection/Recruitment Director is pivotal in ensuring the Global Gates Network is staffed with dedicated, competent, and mission-aligned individuals. This role focuses on streamlining the personnel selection protocols collaborating closely with leadership, Affinity Leaders, and Senior Directors. The Personnel Selection/Recruitment Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the recruitment strategies and processes to attract and retain high-quality candidates for various roles within the organization and manages the selection process for prospective missionaries and associates in Rippling Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaison with Leadership:
    • Collaborate closely with Affinity Leaders, Senior Directors, and the leadership team to establish, review, and enforce consistent personnel selection protocols.
    • Regularly update leadership on the status of prospective candidates, assessments, and potential challenges.
  2. Recruitment:
    • Lead and manage the organization’s recruitment efforts across all departments and locations.
    • Identify and leverage new recruitment channels and partnerships to enhance outreach to potential candidates, including universities,
      ministry networks, and partner mission organizations.
    • Develop and execute strategies for sourcing candidates from a variety of channels, including digital platforms, job fairs, and missionary
      training programs.
  3. Personnel Requests & Job Postings:
    • Work alongside the leadership team to identify priority positions and requirements for Global Gates missionaries.
  4. Applicant Management & Assessment:
    • Oversee the entire applicant journey from initial inquiry to the point of Board approval.
    • Employ robust and mission-centric assessment methodologies to vet missionary applicants.
  5. Missionary Placement & Transfers:
    • Facilitate the transition of existing missionaries desiring to shift their service field, whether it’s a different location or people group.
    • Work in alignment with the mission’s objectives and the individual’s expertise.
  6. Participation in Leadership Network:
    • Offer insights, updates, and feedback regarding the personnel selection process

Supervision & Reporting:

  • Supervised By: Director of Human Resources
  • Reporting Mechanisms:
    • Monthly Updates in Culture Amp.
    • Regular one-on-one meetings with the Director of Human Resources.
    • Prepare Mid-year and Annual reports prepared for the Global Gates Board Meeting.
    • Provide additional information and reports as requested by leadership.
  • Support Staff:
    • May seek assistance from Global Gates personnel, subject to approval by the Human Resources Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or related fields. (Preferred)
  • Proven experience in recruitment and/or personnel selection.
  • Familiarity with the mission and objectives of the Global Gates Network.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Agrees with the Lausanne Covenant and the Global Gates philosophy of ministry.
