The Ripple of Your ‘Yes’ to Partnership

At Global Gates, our missionaries are faithfully stepping into God’s call to reach the unreached, often in challenging and unseen ways. Yet even in those hard places, there is great comfort in knowing a community of faithful partners is holding the rope behind them. Your partnership is a living reminder that God can equip His people through one another.

We’ve seen this partnership in action recently through a mentorship program for our non-Western missionaries who are navigating the challenge of raising support networks. Many of these missionaries face additional hurdles, as they may not have long-standing relationships or networks in the U.S. to help them get started. Through this program, experienced Global Gates workers serve as mentors, guiding and encouraging them each step of the way.

One of these missionaries has found incredible encouragement from a group of women connected to her through her mentor. They pray faithfully with her, have become part of her support network, help open doors for her to share her story with other potential partners, and even flew her out to spend time with them in person. Together, they’re helping her build the support she needs to step away from her current job and follow God’s call into full-time missions.

Asking for support can be intimidating, even daunting, but receiving it is a powerful affirmation of the call God has placed on our missionaries’ lives. It reminds them, and all of us, that we’re not alone, and that God has invited us into a grand story that only He could write, for others’ good, for our joy, and for His glory.

Your partnership doesn’t just sustain our missionaries; it fuels the work itself. As one missionary shared, “Our donors are an encouragement to us. They are also partners with us in the ministry. Recently, we were in Oklahoma City for a missions conference and while we were there, we met a Muslim shopkeeper from Nigeria. We encouraged him to follow Jesus and left him with a New Testament and a Jesus film card. Our donors help make such things possible.”
