Sikhism, the world’s fifth-largest organized religion, has about 28 million followers, primarily in Punjab, India, though many have emigrated worldwide. Sikhs are known for their hospitality, hard work, strong family values, and generosity.
As disciples of Christ, we desire to share His truth and reflect His love to the Sikh community, aligning with God’s heart for all people to know Him. This guide will help you understand Sikhism, pray for Sikhs with greater insight, and intercede for them to encounter the gospel. While you can pray anytime, Vaisakhi (April 13), a significant Sikh festival, is a key opportunity to ask the Lord of the harvest to bring spiritual fruit.

30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World 2025
This year, 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World tells the stories of Muslims who have been impacted by the Christian scriptures. Many of the stories are testimonies of those who have had a personal encounter with Jesus in their reading of the Bible and trusted Him for salvation. Others are still considering His claims. The stories will show that the Word of God is not bound to specific geographical locations. It is not bound to a specific format; the Word of God leaps from pages, speaks through mobile phones and audio players, declares itself boldly on social media, is glimpsed in art and even appears as Jesus Himself.
